Klein verwies darauf, dass nach den NSU-Morden ein entsprechender Paragraf in das Strafgesetzbuch aufgenommen wurde, der es ermöglicht, Taten besonders schwer zu ahnden, wenn sie aus rassistischen und fremdenfeindlichen Motiven begangen wurden. Er sprach sich dafür aus, antisemitische Motive ebenfalls mit aufzunehmen und bei der Strafzumessung zu berücksichtigen.

"Denn Antisemitismus ist eine besondere Form der Diskriminierung, keine Unterkategorie von Rassismus." Der Bundesbeauftragte forderte im Kampf gegen Antisemitismus außerdem mehr Personal, das zudem besser geschult werden müsse.
