Der Grieche Giannis Antetokounmpo ist der größte Influencer aller analysierten Spieler: Knapp 6,08 Millionen Menschen folgen ihm auf Instagram. Auf den Rängen zwei bis vier folgen die US-Amerikaner Donovan Mitchell und Jayson (2,63 bzw. 2,58 Millionen Fans) sowie Kemba Walker (1,41 Millionen Fans). Platz fünf sichert sich der Deutsche Dennis Schröder mit 1,38 Millionen Followern.

Neben den USA haben auch die griechischen Spieler viele Fans auf ihrer Seite: Mit durchschnittlich knapp 609.000 Followern belegen sie Platz zwei vor den Halbfinalisten aus Spanien mit 172.000 Fans. Die Top Fünf komplettieren Brasilien (140.000 Follower) und Deutschland (132.000 Follower).

Obwohl sein Profil nur für seine Abonnenten sichtbar ist, kann Dennis Schröder rund 1,38 Millionen Fans für sich gewinnen und ist damit am beliebtesten im deutschen Team. Mit großem Abstand auf Schröder sichert sich Daniel Theis mit knapp 98.000 Followern Platz zwei, gefolgt von Maxi Kleber mit etwa 37.000 Abonnenten.

Am meisten posten die venezolanischen Spieler auf der Social-Media-Plattform: 769 Beiträge befinden sich im Schnitt auf ihren Profilen. Auch die Brasilianer veröffentlichen mit durchschnittlich 658 Beiträgen vieles auf ihren Accounts. Die Halbfinalisten aus Spanien posten hingegen 581 Bilder auf Instagram.
