Ein Grund hierfür sei die angespannte Situation im Nahen Osten. Ähnliches gelte für die Branche der Gummi- und Kunststoffwaren. Die Elektrotechnik erwarte sinkende Umsätze im Auslandsgeschäft. The mood among German exporters had noticeably deteriorated. The Ifo export expectations of the industry fell to -5.2 balance points in September, from -2.3 balance points in August. The slight recovery in August was short-lived. A possible hard Brexit is casting its shadows ahead. At the moment there are hardly any positive signals from the global economy for German exporters.
After the chemical industry had still been noticeably optimistic in August, it now had to put up with a significant damper. It hardly expects any further growth in export business.
Tense situation in the Middle East
