Und es hat mich sehr berührt, dass ein Mensch, der Skinhead und Neonazi war, diese physische und mentale Verwandlung durchgemacht hat." Die politische Situation der USA unter Präsident Donald Trump kommentiert der Regisseur wie folgt: "Ich fühle mich in der heutigen Welt nicht mehr sicher als Jude. Schauen Sie sich nur das Massaker in Pittsburgh an. Das ist unfassbar. In was für eine Welt bringe ich mein Kind? Der Hinterhof der USA wird gerade zum Vorderhof. Launched in German cinemas on Thursday, the feature film "Skin", based on a true story, tells the story of a purification: a once militant US-American neo-Nazi renounces racism and violence. In an interview with the Berlin-based daily newspaper "neues deutschland" (Friday edition), Israeli director Guy Nattiv talks about the shooting and how he got the idea for the film: "I am the grandson of Holocaust survivors, on my mother's and father's side. And it touched me very much that a person who was a skinhead and neo-Nazi went through this physical and mental transformation." The director comments on the political situation of the USA under President Donald Trump as follows: "I don't feel safe as a Jew in today's world. Just look at the massacre in Pittsburgh.
