Da dieses Mal eine Entscheidung weniger entlang klassischer Partei-Orientierungen als vielmehr mit Blick auf den Brexit erwartet wird, können in vielen Stimmbezirken wenige Wähler den Ausschlag geben. Jeder britische Bürger ab 18 Jahren, der die Insel vor weniger als 15 Jahren verlassen hat, behält seine Wahlberechtigung. Er muss sich in seinem Heimatwahlkreis eintragen lassen und hat dann drei Möglichkeiten, die Wahlen mit zu beeinflussen.
