Several thousand Iraqis took part in a funeral procession for the Iranian General Soleimani. He had been killed in a missile attack on the orders of US President Donald Trump. The coffins containing the bodies of Soleimani and the seven other victims were transported on military vehicles. Iraqi militiamen waving Iraqi flags and militia banners are said to have led the procession. Many of the mourners had shouted anti-American slogans and demanded retaliation for the missile attack.
