Deutschland liegt mit 0,6 Prozent fast auf demselben Niveau wie 2018. Die Stabilisierung der ODA-Ausgaben reicht angesichts der weltweiten Corona-Krise nicht aus, da der Bedarf an Hilfe dramatisch steigt. "Auf die Corona-Krise wird eine Rezession folgen, die voraussichtlich 14-23 Millionen Menschen in Armut und Hunger abrutschen lässt. Ein Großteil der Menschen in Entwicklungsländern ist informell beschäftigt und verfügt kaum über soziale Absicherung. Für sie ist die Wirtschaftskrise lebensbedrohlich, gerade für Frauen und Kinder. Entwicklungs-länder benötigen jetzt zusätzliche ODA-Mittel, um ebenfalls einen Rettungsschirm aufspannen zu können. Denn sonst zahlen die Ärmsten den höchsten Preis. The German Word Hunger Aid regrets that public funds for development cooperation have remained stable over the past year. At 0.6 percent, Germany is almost at the same level as in 2018. Stabilizing ODA spending is not enough in view of the global corona crisis, as the need for aid is increasing dramatically.
