Landsberg forderte einen Rettungsschirm von Bund und Ländern in mittlerer zweistelliger Milliardenhöhe für die Jahre 2020 und 2021. Auch der Deutsche Städtetag forderte Milliardenhilfen. "Massive milliardenschwere Hilfe werden wir auf jeden Fall brauchen: als Ausgleich für einen großen Teil der Steuerverluste und wegen der höheren Ausgaben der Kommunen", sagte Städtetags-Hauptgeschäftsführer Helmut Dedy der Zeitung.
