Doch Müller zufolge kommen zwei Unternehmen von außerhalb Berlins als Mieter für den Gasometer in Betracht, "beide Mobilitätsanbieter" sagte Müller dem Tagesspiegel Background. Tesla hatte im vergangenen November bekanntgegeben, im brandenburgischen Grünheide ein Elektroautowerk für den europäischen Markt zu bauen. Ergänzend dazu will der Konzern von Elon Musk ein Entwicklungszentrum in Berlin ansiedeln.
Euref-Campus ist als Standort etabliert
Der Euref-Campus habe sich als Standort für Klimaschutz und Energiewende profiliert, rund 150 Unternehmen, Forschungseinrichtungen und Start-ups sind auf dem rund 5,5 Hektar großen Gelände angesiedelt. Im kommenden Herbst zieht der Berliner Gasversorger Gasag in einen Neubau, der dann auch von einem Teil der bundeseigenen Deutschen Energieagentur (Dena) bezogen wird. Anfang kommenden Jahres verlegt dann der Bundesverband Erneuerbare Energie seinen Sitz von Berlin-Mitte zum Euref-Campus. Der Einzug von Tesla wird noch einige Jahre dauern.
