Industrie erwartet in den nächsten Monaten eine Zunahme der Produktion

Der Ifo-Produktionsindikator stieg auf plus 4,3 Punkte, nach minus 19,5 im Mai. Das ist der zweitgrößte Anstieg dieses Indikators seit der Wiedervereinigung. Erstmals nach drei Monaten überwiegt also der Anteil an Unternehmen, die ihre Produktion ausweiten wollen.

 

In der Autoindustrie herrscht Aufbruch-stimmung. Der Index sprang auf plus 50 Punkte, nach minus 24 Punkten im Mai. Auch bei den Getränkeherstellern hat sich die Stimmung deutlich verbessert. Der Index stieg im Juni auf plus 19 Punkte, nach minus 24 Punkten im Mai. Das ist ein enormer Sprung von 43 Punkten im Vergleich zum Vormonat. Größere Anstiege verzeichneten nur die Hersteller von Gummi- und Kunststoffwaren auf plus 9 Punkte, nach minus 36 im Mai, und die Bekleidungsindustrie auf minus 33 Punkte, nach minus 84.

 

Ausweitung der Produktion erwartet

 

Die Nahrungsmittelindustrie erwartet eine Ausweitung der Produktion. Der Indikator stieg auf plus 18 Punkte, nach minus 3. Auch bei den Herstellern von Möbeln und von Pharmazieprodukten erwartete der überwiegende Anteil der Befragten, die Produktion auszuweiten: jeweils plus 11 Punkte im Juni. Bei den Chemieunternehmen stieg der Indikator im Juni auf plus 9 Punkte, nach minus 17 im Mai, bei den Herstellern von Druckerzeugnissen auf plus 8 Punkte und bei den Lederwarenproduzenten auf 0 Punkte, nach minus 29 im Mai.

 

Verhaltene Stimmung bei den Maschinenbauern

 

Bei den Maschinenbauern bleibt die Stimmung verhalten. Die Mehrheit der befragten Unternehmen rechnet nicht mit einer Ausweitung der Produktion in den nächsten drei Monaten. Der Produktionsindex stieg im Juni auf minus 26 Punkte, nach minus 33 im Mai. In der Metallerzeugung und -bearbeitung stieg der Index auf minus 20 Punkte, nach minus 36 im Mai. Der Index stieg bei den Produzenten von Holz- und Flechtwaren auf minus 16 Punkte im Juni, bei den Herstellern von Computern auf minus 15 und in der Textilindustrie auf minus 13. Bei den Herstellern von Metallerzeugnissen und elektrischen Ausrüstungen stieg der Index jeweils auf minus 8 Punkte, bei den Herstellern von Glaswaren auf minus 3 und in der Papierindustrie auf minus 2. pm, ifo

The German industry expects an increase in production in the coming three months. Sentiment improved in June for the second time in a row. The Ifo production indicator rose to plus 4.3 points, after minus 19.5 in May. This is the second largest rise in this indicator since reunification. Thus, for the first time in three months, the share of companies that want to expand their production outweighs the share of those that do not.

 

In the automotive industry there is a mood of optimism. The index jumped to plus 50 points after minus 24 points in May. The mood among beverage producers has also improved significantly. The index rose to plus 19 points in June, after minus 24 points in May. This is an enormous jump of 43 points compared to the previous month. Only the manufacturers of rubber and plastic goods recorded larger increases to plus 9 points, after minus 36 in May, and the clothing industry to minus 33 points, after minus 84.

 

Production expansion expected

 

The food industry expects production to expand. The indicator rose to plus 18 points, after minus 3 points. The majority of those surveyed also expected furniture and pharmaceutical manufacturers to expand production: plus 11 points each in June. The indicator rose to plus 9 points for chemical companies in June, after minus 17 points in May, to plus 8 points for manufacturers of print products and to 0 points for leather goods manufacturers, after minus 29 points in May.

 

Restrained mood among mechanical engineering companies

 

The mood among mechanical engineering companies remains subdued. The majority of the companies surveyed do not expect production to expand in the next three months. The production index rose to minus 26 points in June after minus 33 in May. In metal production and processing the index rose to minus 20 points, after minus 36 in May. The index rose to minus 16 points in June for producers of wood and wickerwork, to minus 15 for computer manufacturers and to minus 13 for the textile industry.
