Deutschland spielt in der Liga A in der Gruppe vier gegen die Schweiz, Spanien und die Ukraine. Die vier Gruppensieger qualifizieren sich direkt für das Halbfinale der UEFA Nations League, die Gruppenletzten steigen in die Liga B ab. Direkt im Anschluss an die Übertragung aus Stuttgart folgen Zusammenfassungen weiterer Begegnungen des ersten Gruppenspieltages: unter anderem Ukraine - Schweiz, Türkei - Ungarn, Russland - Serbien und Bulgarien - Irland.
ZDF überträgt auch das zweite Gruppenspiel gegen die Schweiz
Auch das zweite Gruppenspiel der deutschen Mannschaft gegen die Schweiz steht am Sonntag, 6. September 2020, ab 20.15 Uhr auf dem Programm von "ZDF SPORTextra". Jochen Breyer und Per Mertesacker melden sich dann aus dem ZDF-Sendezentrum in Mainz, das Spiel aus dem Baseler St. Jakob-Park kommentiert Oliver Schmidt. Im Gespräch mit Katrin Müller-Hohenstein wird sich der Bundestrainer zur Leistung seiner Mannschaft äußern. Interviews mit den Spielern führen Claudia Neumann und Boris Büchler. Die weiteren Länderspiele des Tages werden im Anschluss an die Live-Übertragung aus der Schweiz in kurzen Zusammenfassungen präsentiert. pm, ots
