Der pressedienst-fahrrad springt in die Bresche und stellt bereits heute einige spannende Neuheiten für 2021 rund ums Fahrrad vor. Würde man das Fahrradjahr mit einem Wein vergleichen, so lautete das Urteil: Es ist ein sehr guter Jahrgang. Zwar gibt es nicht die eine Neuheit, über die alle sprechen, doch hat sich in jedem Bereich viel getan.
Smarte Lösungen
Wer sich und sein Fahrrad schützen möchte, genießt 2021 freie Auswahl. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt auf Smartphone-kompatiblen Lösungen. So bietet Sicherheitsspezialist Abus sein bekanntes Faltschloss nun als "Bordo 6500A SmartX" (ab 249 Euro) an, das sich über eine Smartphone-App oder Fernbedienung öffnen und schließen lässt und im Alarmmodus potenzielle Fahrraddiebe mit einem 100 Dezibel lauten Ton abschreckt. Eine weitere App-Lösung liefert SKS Germany mit dem "Airspy" (99 Euro/Paar). Der digitale Reifendrucksensor wird am Ventil verbaut und funkt den aktuellen Reifendruck an Smartphone oder Radcomputer. So kann der Fahrer schleichende Plattfüße frühzeitig erkennen und Pannen verhindern, bevor sie entstehen. Der Spion ist für herkömmliche Ventile und Tubeless erhältlich.
Die Zeichen stehen auf Grün
Was die Fußbodenheizung der Produktionshallen des Beleuchtungsspezialisten Busch & Müller mit deren neuen Scheinwerfer "IQ-XS friendly" (ab 69,90 Euro) zu tun hat? Ganz einfach: Die Abwärme der hauseigenen Kunststoffspritzerei betreibt die Heizung. "Friendly" heißt die grüne Produktlinie, bei der Prozesse und Produkte nachhaltig angepasst werden. So wie bei diesem LED-Scheinwerfer mit 80 Lux Lichtleistung, dessen Kunststoffgehäuse zu 100 Prozent und damit rückstandslos kompostierbar ist. Geeignet ist er für den Dynamobetrieb oder zur Verwendung am E-Bike, inklusive sensorgesteuertem Tagfahr-LED.
Gelände ohne Ende
Die nächste Beobachtung im Fahrradjahr: Der Trend zum E-MTB geht ungebrochen weiter. Die Schweizer E-Bike-Pioniere von Flyer bringen mit dem "Uproc6" (ab 6.999 Euro) ein Enduro-E-Mountainbike aus Carbon an den Start, das mit 160 Millimetern Federweg, groß dimensionierten Lagerpunkten und unterschiedlichen Laufradgrößen maximalen Fahrspaß in schwierigstem Gelände und höchste Haltbarkeit garantiert. Für das Flow-Gefühl bergauf sorgt der Bosch-Motor "Performance Line CX" mit bis zu 340 Prozent Unterstützung.
Hohe Geländetauglichkeit
Hohe Geländetauglichkeit in einem ganz anderen Segment verspricht auch das Gravel-Bike "Topstone Carbon Lefty" (ab 3.799 Euro) vom US-Hersteller Cannondale. Auf schlechten Wegen spielt es seine Vorteile erst so richtig aus: Die leichte Lefty-Oliver-Gabel setzt sich über Schlaglöcher geschmeidig hinweg und die Kingpin-Federung am Hinterrad sorgt für Fahrkomfort. Dank großer Reifenfreiheit, hoher Steifigkeit und vielen Befestigungspunkten ist das Topstone ein echter Allrounder: von reinen Rennrad- bis zu anspruchsvollen Bikepackingtouren ist alles drin.
Apropos Bikepacking. Noch ein schnell wachsendes Segment der Fahrradbranche. Hier erweitert Ortlieb sein Angebot wasserdichter Taschen um die "Fork Packs" (49,90 Euro/Stück), die sich seitlich an der Gabel anbringen lassen. Dies geschieht entweder über vorhandene Ösen oder mit einem Adapter, der auch für Federgabeln geeignet ist. Das Quick-Lock-S-System ermöglicht das schnelle Anbringen und Abnehmen der Taschen, die jeweils 3,2 Liter fassen.

Smart solutions
Those who want to protect themselves and their bike will enjoy 2021 free choice. One focus is on smartphone-compatible solutions. For example, security specialist Abus now offers its well-known folding lock as the "Bordo 6500A SmartX" (starting at 249 euros), which can be opened and closed using a smartphone app or remote control and, in alarm mode, deters potential bicycle thieves with a 100 decibel loud tone. SKS Germany provides another app solution with the "Airspy" (99 Euro/pair). The digital tire pressure sensor is installed on the valve and transmits the current tire pressure to a smartphone or bike computer. What does the underfloor heating of the production halls of lighting specialist Busch & Müller have to do with their new "IQ-XS friendly" spotlights (starting at 69.90 euros)? Quite simple: The waste heat from the in-house plastic injection moulding shop operates the heating system. "Friendly" is the name of the green product line, in which processes and products are sustainably adapted. As in the case of this LED headlight with 80 lux light output, whose plastic housing is 100 percent compostable and therefore residue-free. It is suitable for dynamo operation or for use on e-bikes, including sensor-controlled daytime running LED.
Endless terrain
The next observation in the bicycle year: The trend towards E-MTB continues unabated. The Swiss e-bike pioneers from Flyer are launching the "Uproc6" (starting at 6,999 euros), an enduro e-mountain bike made of carbon, which with 160 millimeters of suspension travel, large-dimensioned bearing points and different wheel sizes guarantees maximum riding fun in the most difficult terrain and the highest durability. Speaking of bikepacking. Still a fast growing segment of the bicycle industry. Here Ortlieb is expanding its range of waterproof bags with the "Fork Packs" (49.90 Euro/piece), which can be attached to the side of the fork. This can be done either with existing eyelets or with an adapter that is also suitable for suspension forks. The Quick-Lock-S-System allows the quick attachment and removal of the bags, which each hold 3.2 liters.
That fits - saddles and seats for all
Support for e-bikers is provided not only by the engine, but also by the saddle.
