Studie: Die Zahl der Kurzarbeiter in Deutschland geht auf 3,7 Millionen zurück

Das geht aus exklusiven Berechnungen und Schätzungen des Ifo-Instituts auf Basis der Ifo-Konjunkturumfrage hervor. Damit ist ihr Anteil an den sozialversicherungspflichtig Beschäftigten auf 11 Prozent geschrumpft, von 14 Prozent im August. „Der Rückgang der Kurzarbeit schreitet stetig voran. Besonders hoch bleibt aber der Anteil an den Beschäftigten in der Industrie“, sagt Ifo-Arbeitsmarkt-Experte Sebastian Link.

 

Im Verarbeitenden Gewerbe waren im September schätzungsweise noch 1,47 Millionen Menschen in Kurzarbeit, das sind 21 Prozent der Beschäftigten. Bei den Dienstleistern waren es 1,23 Millionen oder 12 Prozent, im Handel 406.000 Menschen oder 9 Prozent. Im Bauhauptgewerbe waren es nur 5000 Menschen oder 1 Prozent. In den übrigen Sektoren schätzt das ifo Institut die Zahl der Kurzarbeiter auf 622.000 oder 5 Prozent der Beschäftigten. pm, ifo

The number of short-time workers in Germany fell to 3.7 million in September, down from 4.7 million in August, according to exclusive calculations and estimates by the Ifo Institute based on the Ifo business survey. This means that their share of employees subject to social insurance contributions has shrunk to 11 percent, from 14 percent in August. "The decline in short-time work is progressing steadily. But the proportion of employees in industry remains particularly high," says Ifo labor market expert Sebastian Link.

 

In the manufacturing sector, an estimated 1.47 million people were still on short-time work in September, or 21 percent of the workforce. In the service sector, 1.23 million people or 12 percent were working short time, in the retail sector 406,000 people or 9 percent. In the main construction industry, only 5,000 people or 1 percent were working short time. In the other sectors, the ifo Institute estimates that 622,000 people, or 5 percent of the workforce, worked short time.
