Grund dafür sei, dass man in der ersten Welle wertvolle Erfahrungen im Umgang mit Covid-19 gesammelt habe und jetzt viel zielgenauer und schneller reagieren könne, sagte Gaß weiter. Der DKG-Präsident betonte, die Politik müsse den Kliniken aber den Rücken stärken. "Die Politik ist nicht nur bei Eindämmungsmaßnahmen gefragt, sondern auch bei den Rahmenbedingungen für die Kliniken im Ausnahmezustand.
