In den letzten Monaten sei unter der Führung der umsetzenden Agentur Hassler Made ein umfangreiches Hygienekonzept und ein angepasstes Veranstaltungskonzept erarbeitet, das von den Gesundheits- und Ordnungsbehörden der Stadt Wiesbaden und des Landes Hessen als vorbildhaft hervorgehoben worden sei.
Ungewisse Zukunftsaussichten
Die aktuell stark ansteigenden Infektionszahlen und die ungewisse Zukunftsaussicht bezüglich möglicherweise kurzfristig nötiger behördlicher Einschränkungen ließen das Risiko zu groß werden. Die Sporthilfe arbeite an Alternativkonzepten mit dem Ziel, einen Teil der nun wegfallenden Benefizerlöse aus Europas größter Charity-Gala im Sport aufzufangen. The Ball des Sports of Deutsche Sporthilfe will not take place in 2021 due to the development of the Covid-19 pandemic. The charity gala originally planned for February 6 in favor of young German athletes and top-class sportsmen and women has thus had to be cancelled for the second time in the over 50-year history of the Ball des Sports.

Over the past few months, under the leadership of the implementing agency Hassler Made, a comprehensive hygiene concept and an adapted event concept has been developed, which has been highlighted as exemplary by the health and regulatory authorities of the city of Wiesbaden and the state of Hesse.
Uncertain future prospects
