Der Intensivmediziner betonte, man müsse dringend versuchen, das Personal in den Kliniken so gut wie möglich zu schützen - "sonst haben wir am Ende zwar die Impfung und sind Covid19 los, aber die Krankenhäuser haben kein Pflegepersonal mehr".
Infektionsgeschehen schwächt sich ab
Karagiannidis zeigte sich auch verhalten optimistisch, dass der Lockdown seit dem 1. November eine Wirkung hat. "Der "R-Wert" hierzulande geht jetzt langsam runter. Am Dienstag sahen wir im DIVI-Intensivregister das erste Mal seit Wochen, dass sich die Zuwachszahlen abschwächen, auf aktuell 54 von etwa 100 neuen Patienten in den vorangegangenen Tagen. Dies könnte also ein erster Hinweis darauf sein, dass sich das Infektionsgeschehen etwas abschwächt", sagte der Divi-Sprecher weiter.
