Einen entsprechenden Vertrag habe das zuständige Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung (BAAINBw) mit einer Fachfirma abgeschlossen.
"Im ersten Schritt haben wir den Bau von 65 Fahrzeugen beauftragt. Insgesamt können 148 über den Vertrag abgerufen werden," sagt Projektleiter Oberstleutnant Michael Bischof. "Die Auslieferung an die Truppe ist im nächsten Jahr vorgesehen." Neben dem Bau der Fahrzeuge, sei auch das Zubehör und die Schulung des Personals mit beauftragt worden. Die Fahrzeuge seien schnell, geländegängig und allradgetrieben. Bis zu vier Soldatinnen/Soldaten samt Ausrüstung könnten darin befördert werden, ebenso sind Materialtransporte möglich. "Wir schließen damit eine Fähigkeitslücke innerhalb der Bundeswehr", so Bischof.

The Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Utilisation (BAAINBw) has concluded a contract to this effect with a specialist company.
"In a first step, we have commissioned the construction of 65 vehicles. A total of 148 can be called up via the contract," announces Project Manager Lieutenant Colonel Michael Bischof. "Delivery to the troops is scheduled for next year." In addition to the construction of the vehicles, the accessories and the training of the personnel were also commissioned.
The vehicles are fast, all-terrain and all-wheel drive. Up to four soldiers and their equipment can be transported in them, and material can also be transported. "We are thus closing a capability gap within the Bundeswehr," says Bischof.
