Seine Partei sei auch heute noch ein bedeutender Faktor in den innen-politischen Auseinandersetzungen in Frankreich, betont Roussel, der seit November 2018 die Führung der FKP innehat und für eine Neuorientierung bei gleichzeitiger Rückbesinnung auf die Wurzeln der zum Jahreswechsel 1920/21 in Tours gegründeten französischen kommunistischen Partei steht.
Erfolgreiche linke Politik
Der 51-jährige Journalist und Politiker äußert im "nd"-Interview zudem das Ziel, bei den im Frühjahr stattfindenden Regionalwahlen das in den vergangenen Jahren verlorenen gegangene Terrain, Städte und Kommunen, für die FKP zurückzugewinnen, um wieder erfolgreich linke Politik führen zu können, "von der Bekämpfung von Armut bis hin zur Dämpfung des Klimawandels". Successful left-wing politics
