Es habe dem Land geschadet, "dass wir - damit meine ich Bund, Länder und Kommunen gleichermaßen - oftmals zu zögerlich waren". Die Politikerin warb für einen Strategiewechsel hin zu einer "No-Covid-Strategie", die Lockerungen erst ab einer Sieben-Tage-Inzidenz von unter zehn vorsieht. Es sei entscheidend, "dem Infektionsgeschehen einen Schritt voraus zu sein". Auch nach zwei Monaten Lockdown sei die Zahl der Neuinfektionen nach wie vor hoch und der Inzidenzwert stagniere mitunter mehrere Tage lang auf hohem Niveau.
Größerer Spielraum für Kommunen
Reker forderte für die Kommunen einen größeren Spielraum bei den Beschränkungen. Die Stadt habe gute Erfahrungen damit gemacht, kurzfristig auf Veränderungen zu reagieren und "nicht erst auf Vorgaben von Bund oder Land zu warten". Sie kritisierte, dass das Land manche Beschränkungen wie beispielsweise eine Ausgangssperre und ein stadtweites Alkoholkonsumverbot abgelehnt habe, "obwohl aus unserer Sicht beides wirksame Maßnahmen gewesen wären".
Belohnungssystem für die Bürger
Um die Bürgerinnen und Bürger zu motivieren durchzuhalten, halte sie ein Belohnungssystem für "besonders geeignet". "Wenn eine niedrige Inzidenz automatisch Lockerungen bedeutet und eine steigende Inzidenz ebenso automatisch zu harten Einschränkungen führt, ist das transparent und es ist damit für jeden verständlich, warum es lohnenswert ist, sich an bestimmte Maßnahmen zu halten." pm, ots
