Während den FC Schalke bereits neun Punkte vom rettenden Ufer trennen und der erste Abstieg seit 30 Jahren immer wahrscheinlicher wird, droht der BVB erstmals seit 2015 die UEFA Champions League zu verpassen. Der Rückstand auf den vierten Platz beträgt derzeit sechs Punkte. Beide benötigen am Samstag dringend einen Sieg, um mit einem Erfolgserlebnis in das letzte Saisondrittel zu gehen.
