Während alle Vereinsverantwortlichen noch am Dementieren waren, wusste die "Bild"-Zeitung schon mehr: Die so genannten S04-Führungsspieler Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Shkodran Mustafi und Sead Kolasinac wollten ihren Trainer Christian Gross los werden und mobbten ihren Übungsleiter gegenüber dessen Vorgesetzten. Das Ergebnis ist bekannt.
Nach der Revolte gegen den Trainer blamierte sich das Team einmal mehr bis auf die Knochen beim 1:5 gegen Stuttgart. Auf dem Platz war von Revoluzzern relativ wenig zu sehen. Die in den Fan-Foren bei ihrer Ankunft auf Schalke als Heilsbringer gefeierten Stars Kolasinac, Mustafi und Huntelaar haben sich nahtlos dem Niveau der Mannschaft angepasst. Und zu einer wahrhaften Clownerie wurde die "Verpflichtung" vom ehemaligen Schalke-Star Huntelaar. Der kam bisher maximal zehn Minuten zum Einsatz und fiel dabei durch Fouls auf, weil er schlicht und ergreifend bei seinen Zweikämpfen zu langsam war. Danach reihte sich der "Hunter" ins Schalke-Lazarett ein und war seit dem auf keinem Spielfeld der Liga mehr zu sehen. Bei einem Fan-Besuch im Mannschaftshotel stellte einer der Besucher die berechtigte Frage, ob der "Hunter" seinen Medizincheck beim Platzwart absolviert habe?
Zu langsam für die Liga
Aber Spaß bei Seite: Auch die Leistungen von Mustafi auf Schalke sind definitiv ausbaufähig. Offensichtlich ist der Defensivmann zu langsam für die Liga und sein Stellungsspiel ist ebenfalls grenzwertig. Irritierend ist manchmal auch die schlichte Art seines Zweikampf-Verhaltens. Deshalb ist er auch von gegnerischen Stürmern gut auszuspielen. Vom Schalker Eigengewächs Kolasinac hatten sich die Fans bei seiner Rückkehr von Arsenal London Wunderdinge versprochen. Und "Kola" hatte die Erwartungen auch mit den branchenüblichen, sinnentleerten Sprüchen befeuert. In seinem letzten Beitrag orakelte er, dass S04 mit Fans im Stadion nie so schlecht gewesen wäre, wie aktuell. Ob diese plumpe Anbiederung an die Anhänger Früchte trägt, darf auf das Heftigste bezweifelt werden. Seine sportlichen Leistungen auf dem Platz haben sich mittlerweile dem allgemeinen trostlosen Niveau seiner "Spielkameraden" angepasst. In diesem Zustand ist die Leihe von der Arsenal-Tribüne keine Verstärkung.
Vom Hunter geht keine Gefahr mehr aus
Über die Meuterei des Trios ist in den Sportmedien alles gesagt worden. Von "charakterlos" bis "link" wurde das Verhalten der "Revoluzzer" eingestuft. Da dürften die Kommentatoren nicht falsch liegen. Es ist davon auszugehen, das keiner von diesen "Führungsspielern" Schalke in Liga 2 folgen wird. Aber auch wenn der Mannschaft ein Wunder gegen den Abstieg gelingen sollte. Das Trio sollte auf keinen Fall in der kommenden Saison mehr auf Schalke auflaufen. Das wäre das komplett falsche Signal. Und in der aktuellen Situation sollten die Trainer darauf achten, wie die "Drei" oder besser die "Zwei" - vom Hunter wird keine Gefahr mehr ausgehen - sich verhalten. Irritating at times is also the sheer nature of his tackling behaviour. That's why he's also easy for opposing strikers to play off. When Kolasinac returned from Arsenal London, the fans expected miracles from the Schalke player. And "Kola" had also fuelled the expectations with the usual meaningless sayings of the industry. In his last post, he orated that S04 would never have been as bad with fans in the stadium as they are now. Whether this clumsy pandering to the supporters will bear fruit is highly doubtful. There is no longer any danger from the Hunter
Everything has been said in the sports media about the trio's mutiny. From "characterless" to "left-wing", the behaviour of the "revolters" has been classified. The commentators are probably not wrong. It can be assumed that none of these "leading players" will follow Schalke into League 2. But even if the team manages a miracle against relegation. Under no circumstances should the trio play for Schalke in the coming season. That would be the completely wrong signal. And in the current situation, the coaches should pay attention to how the "three" or better the "two" - there will be no more danger from Hunter - behave. And that in training as well as in the game.
