Lukas Podolski will noch zwei Jahre Profifußballer bleiben

Professional footballer Lukas Podolski is in talks about continuing his career after leaving Turkish club Antalyaspor.

Commenting on the interest from the US Major Soccer League, Podolski told the "Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger": "Clubs always get in touch. In the end, it is important for me that the overall picture fits. The city, the club, the concept." But it is still too early to make any decisions. It is clear to him that at the age of 36 he is "not going to make the leap again to an absolute top club". "For me, it's about playing for another year or two, having fun and living in a good city." For later, he said, his plan is to grow old in Cologne with his family. "I have my flat here, my house, I know Cologne inside out. It will always be my city." pm, ots, mei
