"Wir haben 5 Gegentore in 3 Spielen kassiert - das ist einfach viel zu viel. Weil England offensiv einfach gut besetzt ist. Es wird von uns alles abverlangt." Magenta-TV-Experte Michael Ballack sieht die Italien-Spielart als Vorbild für mehr Stabilität in der deutschen Abwehrarbeit: "Das ist was, was wir gestern bei den Italienern gesehen haben. Das geht vorne los und zieht sich nach hinten durch." Ballacks Hoffnung in der zentralen Sturm-Position heißt Havertz, dessen Selbstvertrauen seit seinem Siegtor im Champions League-Finale mit Chelsea und zwei EM-Treffern gestiegen ist.
