Auf den deutschen Baustellen hat sich die Versorgungslage im September verbessert. Im Hochbau berichteten 36,3 Prozent der Betriebe von Material-knappheit, nach 42,2 Prozent im Vormonat. Im Tiefbau waren es 27,6 Prozent.
Das sind 3,8 Prozentpunkte weniger als im August. „Der Wohnungsbau zeigt sich dabei am stärksten betroffen, hier meldeten immer noch 40 Prozent der Unternehmen eine Behinderung ihrer Bautätigkeit durch Lieferprobleme“, sagt Ifo-Forscher Felix Leiss. „Die langen Lieferzeiten und der starke Preisanstieg beim Material sind ein zentrales Thema in der Bauwirtschaft. Es fehlt insbesondere an Dämmstoffen, Stahl, Holz und Kunststoffrohren. Zumindest der Großhandel für Holzprodukte rechnet nun wieder mit sinkenden Preisen. Bei vielen anderen Baustoffen werden hingegen weitere Preissteigerungen erwartet.“

The supply situation on German construction sites improved in September. In building construction, 36.3 percent of companies reported a shortage of materials, compared to 42.2 percent in the previous month. In civil engineering the figure was 27.6 per cent.
This is 3.8 percentage points less than in August. "Residential construction is the most affected, with 40 per cent of companies still reporting that their construction activities were hampered by delivery problems," says Ifo researcher Felix Leiss. "The long delivery times and the sharp rise in material prices are a central issue in the construction industry. There is a shortage of insulation materials, steel, wood and plastic pipes in particular. At least the wholesale trade for wood products is now expecting prices to fall again. For many other building materials, however, further price increases are expected."
