Höhepunkt der Festtage ist in der englischen Premier League der Boxing Day. Los geht es am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag mit der Partie zwischen FC Liverpool gegen Leeds United.
Im Anschluss ab 15.30 Uhr beginnt dann die Übertragung der Konferenz auf dem Pay-TV-Sender Sky mit insgesamt fünf Spielen, darunter Manchester City gegen Leicester City, Norwich City gegen Arsenal und West Ham gegen Southampton. Es folgt um 18.20 Uhr die Live-Übertragung der Begegnung zwischen Aston Villa und dem FC Chelsea. Das letzte Live-Spiel am Boxing Day tragen dann Brighton & Hove Albion und FC Brentford aus.

Am 28. Dezember kommt es beim "Match of the Week" zur Partie zwischen Leicester City und dem FC Liverpool. Am 2. Januar erwartet die Fans die Begegnungen Brentford gegen Aston Villa und Southampton gegen Newcastle. The highlight of the festive season in the English Premier League is Boxing Day. It starts on Boxing Day with the match between Liverpool FC and Leeds United.
